Visitor Permits

On campus for a visit? Here’s what you need to know. 

To purchase a visitor permit up to seven days in advance: 

  1. Visit the parking portal. 
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts after you click on the “Purchase Visitor Permit” icon. 

Vendor and Service Permits

If you’re a vendor or service provider working with Mizzou and need a permit, stop by the Parking & Transportation office (121 General Services Building, 900 E. Stadium Blvd., Columbia, MO 65211) to get your permit.

If you are a future student here for an official campus visit, Mizzou Admissions will send you parking information when you register. Please do not use the parking portal link above to purchase a permit.

Yes. You will either need to purchase a visitor permit or pay to park in a metered location, unless you’re parked outside of enforcement hours (7 a.m.–6 p.m., Monday–Friday). 

Some areas are enforced 24/7. Check our 24/7 enforced locations to be sure.

Prices vary. A daily visitor permit is $12 or you can pay $1.25 per hour to park at a metered location. You can purchase a visitor permit through your parking account starting seven days before your visit.

Note: All metered parking on the streets of campus belong to the city of Columbia. You can use coins or the ParkMobile app to pay at these locations. Find city-run lots and garages.

MU Health Care patient and visitor parking is available in Garage A and Garage B. If you have an appointment at the hospital, you are welcome to park in either of these parking structures during your visit.

If you are a patient at one of the clinics of the College of Health Sciences, please be sure to look for designated client parking spaces in lot WG11.

Definitely. Visitors follow the same rules as students and staff.

We use electronic citations. Check for citations using your license plate number. If not: create a visitor account in our parking portal using your vehicle information. Tickets will show up under your plate.

If you have received multiple citations, you may receive a sticker on your vehicle with information about how to pay for the tickets.
