Enforcement

To help keep things running smoothly on campus, certain parking rules and enforcement hours apply depending on where you park. Here’s what you need to know so you don’t end up with a surprise ticket.

Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

These locations are regularly monitored during business hours. Make sure you have the right permit during this time:

  • Conley Avenue Parking Structure
  • Hitt Street Parking Structure (Levels 1–5)
  • Turner Avenue Parking Structure
  • University Avenue Parking Structure
  • Virginia Avenue Parking Structure (Levels 1–3)
  • All metered lots (Note: These may follow special rules on game days.)

Ramp tip: Ramps count as the lower level they connect to. So if a ramp connects levels 3 and 4, it’s treated as level 3. Ramps are also painted to help you figure out where you’re parked.

Enforced locations may change. If they do, we’ll notify permit holders ahead of time.

The following locations are enforced all day, every day including nights, weekends and holidays. You’ll need the correct permit to park here anytime.

  • Hitt Street Parking Structure (Top Floor)
  • Tiger Avenue Parking Structure
  • Parking Structure No. 7 (Monk Drive/Virginia Avenue)
  • Virginia Avenue Parking Structure (Levels 4–6)
  • Lot AV5 (Stadium Drive/Ashland Road)
  • Lot AV8 (College Avenue/Ashland Road)
  • Lot CG1 (Virginia Avenue/Hospital)
  • Lot CG15 (Tiger Avenue/Kentucky Boulevard)
  • Lot CG18 (Rollins Street)
  • Lot MH1 (Hitt Street/Paquin Street)
  • Lot RC4 (Elm/5th Street)
  • Lot RC8 (Elm/6th Street)
  • Lot RC15 (East Stewart Road/4th Street)
  • Lot RC16 (East Stewart Road/4th Street)
  • Lot WC5 (Hitt Street)
  • Lot WG6 (Stadium Drive/Tiger Avenue)

Same ramp rules apply here. Ramps count as the lower level they connect to. So if a ramp connects levels 3 and 4, it’s treated as level 3. Ramps are also painted to help you figure out where you’re parked.

MU Housing spaces, MU Health Care areas and 24-hour reserved spots are enforced at all times including evenings and weekends.

Campus parking spots are color-coded to help you know where (and where not) to park:

  • Blue = Accessible/ADA spaces
  • Green = Metered parking
  • Yellow = Non-designated (not valid for regular use)
  • Red = Fire lane – never park here
  • White = Regular permitted parking

Note: Vehicles may be towed on the first violation. Register your vehicle and purchase a temporary virtual permit or use metered parking.
