Driving electric? We’ve got you covered. Mizzou offers EV charging stations on campus that are open to students, faculty, staff and visitors. No parking permit or meter payment is needed while your car is actively charging.
Just remember: EV spaces are only for vehicles that are currently charging. You may receive a citation if you are parked in an EV space and are not actively charging.

How to Charge Your EV
We use ChargePoint Level 2 stations, and each one has two charging ports. Before you can charge, download the ChargePoint app and create an account. Then you’re ready to go!
Three easy ways to start charging:
- Tap your phone
With the app open and signed in, tap your phone on the station. - Use the app
Find the charging station on the app and hit “Start Charge.” - Swipe your ChargePoint card
Just tap your card on the reader symbol on the station.
Before you start:
- Turn off your vehicle
- Open your charging port (usually a button or release like a gas cap).
Once your EV is fully charged, please move it to a regular parking spot and pay the meter rate if applicable. This helps keep charging stations available for others.
