Parking Fee 3-Year Plan

Parking rates increase this fall. This is the first increase in 14 years, and funds will be used for deferred maintenance of parking structures and parking lots. The increase was approved by the Parking and Transportation Services committee, whose membership includes faculty, staff and students.

Parking rate increases begin Aug. 22 for bi-weekly paid employees; Sept. 1 for monthly. Staff who are paid hourly can determine their annual salary by multiplying their hourly rate by 2080 hours worked per year. For example: $12 x 2080 = $24,960.

Revenue from permit sales pays for deferred maintenance of parking structures and lots. Increasing permit prices will allow Mizzou Parking to address $26 million in deferred maintenance over the next 10 years. You may view the presentation for more information about Mizzou Parking and the new plan. We appreciate the community’s understanding that maintenance of lots and structures is necessary to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff and visitors.
